The problems that were faced were to do with recurring complaint on how to find specialty kitchenware products to make dishes that one specializes in.
Finally through continuous search efforts, a specialty kitchen was successfully found.
Though a third of the specialty kitchenware were used as the primary product line the facility also carried regularly used cookware also. For example, lots of people from the Caribbean eat snacks that are made our of plantain and they would use a wooden planate press to press tha plantain before frying it

In the traditional Mexican restaurant, they serve flour and corn tortillas where a cast iron tortillas press is used to make that kind of tortillas. For diners from Caribbean , Mexico or Columbia there are quite a few items that go with every meal. For example, meals served require a special piece of cookware or kitchenware. In the early 1990’s it was very difficult to find the right assortment of food. Even when a restaurant is found, the selection offered was usually very small and the quality was very low. This is an important aspect of identifying what the diners need or expect
The people who were serving the market at that time were actually importing a lot of food and drinks. The industry to a large extent was served mainly by importers and distributors of food product. For example, if they say a food product company of the Dominican Republic, they would carry one or two kitchenware of the Dominican republic, but nobody ever made any effort it terms of the quality of the product or branding the product, or doing any marketing for the Latin market or the Hispanic market as a whole, that was part ot the opportunity we had to be the premiere provider of kitchenware for all of the latin ethnicity and not jst one ethnicity and that’s the idea of finding manufacturers and branding the product and standing behind the quality is the basis of our business

Our brand means our kitchen in Spanish and v find that it really helps us in connect with our target consumer. We have focused ovr the past 5 years since we launched the brand in the grocery retail trdae wch is heavily populated by Hispanics and we have garnered with independent grocery retailers to help reach out to the Latin consumer
