Human Resources Management Concentration Program

This program prepares the students to develop a wide range of knowledge of human resource management (HRM) skills necessary for implementing effective and legally defensible human resource practices in contemporary business organizations. The program covers the four essential pillars of HRM: staffing (strategic staffing, job analysis, competency modelling, recruitment, pre-hire evaluation, legal issues, etc.), compensation (job evaluation techniques, pay levels determination, labor markets, fixed and variable pay, pay surveys, incentives, benefits, compensation laws, non-traditional compensation, etc.), training and development (learning styles, needs analysis, training methodology, etc.), and performance management (process, appraisal systems and techniques, measurement approaches, performance analytics, team performance management, performance measurements, etc.). Practical examples and cases are discussed throughout the program.
يُعِد هذا البرنامج الطلاب لتطوير مجموعة واسعة من مهارات إدارة الموارد البشرية اللازمة لتطبيق ممارسات فعالة وقانونية في منظمات الأعمال الحديثة. يغطي البرنامج أربعة ركائز أساسية لإدارة الموارد البشرية: التوظيف (التوظيف الاستراتيجي، تحليل الوظائف، نمذجة الكفاءات، التوظيف، تقييم ما قبل التوظيف، القضايا القانونية، وغيرها)، التعويضات (تقنيات تقييم الوظائف، تحديد مستويات الرواتب، أسواق العمل، الأجور الثابتة والمتغيرة، دراسات الرواتب، الحوافز، المزايا، قوانين التعويضات، التعويضات غير التقليدية، وغيرها)، التدريب والتطوير (أنماط التعلم، تحليل الاحتياجات، منهجيات التدريب، وغيرها)، وإدارة الأداء (العملية، أنظمة وأساليب التقييم، طرق القياس، تحليلات الأداء، إدارة أداء الفرق، قياسات الأداء، وغيرها). يتم مناقشة أمثلة وحالات عملية طوال البرنامج.
Application for the Concentration Program
Eligibility Criteria
Requirements:
- Minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for all BSc KFUPM students.
- Students with applied major cannot enroll in concentrations.
- Students who completed (79 – 115 hours).
- Students who finished all junior-level courses of the specific majors are eligible to enroll in the concentration after completing the prerequisites.
Timeline:
- Applications open at the end of the first semester of the Junior year ( around November ) till the middle of the following semester ( around February)
- Applications are reviewed at the end of the second semester or early summer.
