PROXY EXCEPTIONS MAIL

Dear Students,
It is observed that many students are not setting proxy exceptions in their PCs in student dorms due to which the access to local services like: webcourses.kfupm.edu.sa is very slow. All students are advised to set proper proxy exceptions by following these steps.
Internet Explorer:
Open your IE browser à click tools à click internet options à click connections à click LAN settings.
Set your proxy (as shown in figure ProxyExceptionsIE.jpg) to: stuproxy.kfupm.edu.sa Port: 80
Set the proxy exceptions: *.kfupm.edu.sa;10.*
Mozilla:
Open your Mozilla browser à click Tools à click Options à click Network à click Settings BUTTON.
Set your proxy (as shown in figure ProxyExceptionsMozilla.jpg) to: stuproxy.kfupm.edu.sa Port: 80
Set the proxy exceptions: *.kfupm.edu.sa,10.*

E-mail Account for Internet Problem in Student Dorms
Dear Students:
Recently, users in the SDN (students dorms network) have been facing serious
performance problems while accessing the Internet. This is due to several reasons which include
excessive downloading, viruses on machines, spyware, abuse of services, etc.
A special email account has been set up to which you can send your complain and we will
address your problem promptly.
Please indicate your details and location, and mention in the subject field
Subject: Internet Problem in Student Dorms
and send it to sdn@kfupm.edu.sa
